Spey Tenne Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700 ml, SPEYTENNE

The clean fresh fruit aroma of apples, pears and a trace of overripe bananas laced with milk chocolate and vanilla suggests a sweet Taste and indeed this port wood Finish from rich old tawny port wood casks does not disappoint. An excellent choice as a pre-dinner aperitif it is very sweet to the Taste and leads to a medium Finish that does not overstay its welcome.
COLOR:
Copper, with rose lights (port Finished)

NOSE:
A mid Nose, somewhat closed and Nose-drying. Fruity OVERALL (very faint raspberry jam, rose wine), with a hint of faded pot-pourri and an elusive earthiness as its base note. Water opens the aroma only slightly, introducing a background of pale fruits.

TASTE:
Light texture. Sweet and faintly fruity, then drying slightly, leaving a trace of almonds in the afterTaste. With water the Taste becomes sweeter.

OVERALL:
A very light aroma and Taste. Very easy to drink. A quaffing malt!
